September 30 Meeting Minutes
EMU Circle K Club Meeting Minutes
30 September 2007 4-5pm
I. (4:00) Introductions-we went around in a circle and introduced ourselves as we had a few new faces!
II. Kayla had us play the counting game, where everyone closes their eyes, and the group has to count to 10 without 2
people speaking at once, and one person can’t do 2 consecutive numbers…we actually got through it in a
few tries!
III. Circle K School!
a. We worked on learning the pledge, with the use of 4 poster boards to read off of.
b. Membership requirements (1 meeting/month, 1 service project/semester, $40 dues)
IV. Ways to get involved
a. Service Project
Crop Walk with SOS
Sun, Oct. 7, 12 noon
Kelly will be going, and she needs some company as Shaina and Robin will be getting back from FLTC.
b. Social event
Cookout at Riverside Park
Sat, Oct 13, 2pm
We will be playing croquet, cooking hotdogs and veggie dogs…
c. Ushering @ Football games: Oct. 27 and Nov. 9, sign up if you’d like to work toward dues reimbursement
d. Leadership opportunities
Assembly of Student Organizations
Student Service Council
These are a goof way to meet the other organizations on campus and find out what other events are going on around campus.
V. NO MEETING NEXT WEEK due to service project!
VI. Next club meeting: Sunday, October 14 , 4-5pm, Room 301
We will have a speaker from a local non-profit.
VII. Questions, comments, happy cents, adjourn meeting
a. Robin asked everyone to check the back of his or her agendas for a gold star! Ashley and Shaina both had one and won
certificates from Dominos.
VIII. Make a Child Smile card-making-everyone stayed until 5 and made at least one card, and got a chance to chat with
the other members. (5:00)
